Taekwondo

Reece had his first Taekwondo class tonight.  He really likes it, the skill that he is working on is listening!  He is currently a white belt but said that he is going to get to his black belt!

Father's Day from Harper

Harper filled out her questions about Clint for Father's Day, she did a pretty good job!

2. How old is your dad? uh, 6. he told me he's 6.
3. Where does your dad work? PBS
4. What does your dad do for you? He lets me come with him.
5. What is your dad's favorite movie? Lion King
6. What is your dad's favorite food? ice cream....Reece said no, he like hamburgers.  Harper agreed and said his favorite foods were ice cream and hamburgers!
7. What does your dad do for fun? Sometimes he goes down the slide!
8. Where does your dad take you? To the playground
9. What does your dad say to you? "No!"
10. How do you know that your dad loves you? 'Cause he likes when I color papers and do a good job!

Play Ball!!

We had Reece's first T-ball game this week.  He was the only player on his team that did not have to hit off of the Tee!  He was pretty excited!  He did great in the field while playing where the action was. When he was at 3rd base, there wasn't much action there and he was more interested in dancing/spinning around.

First Official Haircut

Harper had her first official haircut yesterday.  I cut it once over a year ago, I was nervous to do it this time so I took her to see Tara. She wanted Tara to wash her hair but I thought that the water spray bottle would work this time!

Graduation

Reece graduated from preschool and Harper moved up to the "big kids" , preschool room, last week.  Reece has started the school age kids program for the summer.  They do fun activities every day, he is usually pretty worn out at the end of the day!  The are going to the pool, playgrounds, picnics, Kernel's games, State Fair, Adventureland and other fun things!

Blues BBQ

North Liberty has a Blues BBQ festival every year.  We took the kids up, it was so hot and there were so many people there.  We let them each do a few rides then got some BBQ and headed home.

Go Fish

We took the kids fishing in the pond near our house.  It was fun for about the first 10 minutes, then they had more fun picking "flowers". Clint did catch a couple fish right before we were going to leave.
